Children's Summer Programs
Turn those lazy days of summer around by registering your child for our summer programs. The Town of Stony Plain has the solution to combat your kids' boredom! Every summer, Community and Protective Services offers exciting recreational and learning programs in a fun-filled environment for children between the ages of three and 11.
Registration is on a weekly basis, and children are welcome to attend all summer-long. Information about weekly themes and activities are available in the downloadable Program Guide, which is also available from front reception at the Town Office. To register for programs, download and print the applicable registration form(s), and submit your completed form(s) in-person or by regular mail. We are unable to accept online registrations or registrations via email.

These week-long camps offer a variety of fun activities, crafts and field trips for children between the ages of six and 11. Held at John Paul II School during the month of July and at the Stony Plain Community Centre during the month of August, Play Daze offers a wide range of themes ensures that no two days are ever the same - except Friday afternoons, which are spent cooling off in the Stony Plain Public Outdoor Swimming Pool.
Before- and After-care Programming
Before- and after-care programming is available each week, with the exception of Week 6 (Out and About).
Launched in 2011, this exciting program was created specifically for children ages three to five. Program leaders provide a variety of safe, fun and educational activities in these three-hour sessions. Your child will enjoy age appropriate games and crafts that are created around a new fun theme each week. Walks will be part of our mornings when the weather is nice.
Play's Cool is a half-day program that runs out of the Westridge Curling Rink both July and August. Field trips are not part of the Play's Cool program.
Play Around Town
Program leaders are out-and-about at parks and playgrounds within Stony Plain throughout the summer. This free drop-in program features a wide range of games and activities for the community’s youth.
