ATCO Gas donation helps equip Town of Stony Plain Fire Department
Edmonton, AB - The Town of Stony Plain Fire Department’s efforts to purchase additional safety equipment received a $1,600 boost from ATCO Gas today.
“At ATCO Gas, safety is a core value, and we are pleased to support one of Alberta’s many fire departments, which, like ATCO Gas, is deeply committed to the safety of the communities it serves,” says Bill Stephens, President, ATCO Gas. “Our support of the Town of Stony Plain Fire Department will ensure that it has the tools and equipment needed in order to protect the homes, property and lives of local residents.”
“We are grateful for ATCO Gas’s financial support to help properly equip our volunteer fire department,” says Dan Badry, Stony Plain Fire Chief. “We also appreciate ATCO Gas’s volunteer, and in-kind, contributions as partners of the region’s emergency response network and as members of the community.”
The Town of Stony Plain Fire Department will use the funds to purchase six Talon helmet holders. These holders will be mounted inside the fire truck cab and will properly secure the helmets when firefighters are en route to emergency situations.
