Stony Plain is a growing community. There is opportunity for new businesses to offer more diverse products, services and employment. In an effort to target new business opportunity the Town of Stony Plain is looking to identify key industries that are best suited to enhance our local economy.
“The Town is committed to a proactive economic development role,” says William Choy, mayor of Stony Plain. “A critical step in positioning the community for further commercial and industrial growth is to identify the key industries for Stony Plain and how we market ourselves effectively to them.”
The Town has engaged the services of Place Dynamics to guide Stony Plain through the process of developing a target sector study and marketing plan. Place Dynamics has worked with a broad range of communities to determine what business opportunities are best suited for their community and how to attract those businesses.
Selling Stony Plain to the right audience can result in creating jobs and a growing economy. The target sector study will not only define who the target industries for Stony Plain are, but also how to market to those target industries in order to attract them to locate here.
To launch the process Place Dynamics will be participating in a number of upcoming events to engage the business community and stakeholders in this project. Please join us to learn more about how Place Dynamics is helping the Town to expand our business community, share your questions and ideas.
