The Town of Stony Plain is looking for nominations for the 2017 Ambassador of Action Award. Since the programs launch in 2009, the Town has presented the Ambassador of Action Business Award to local businesses. The intent is to acknowledge the many hard-working people who continually exhibit passion for business excellence and who advance responsible business practices and leadership.
Eligible nominees must demonstrate improvement, innovation, or expansion in the following areas: investment in the business’ buildings or facilities, job creation, new or enhanced product or service offerings, and generating an elevated profile as a result of their success.
“Nominating a local business for this annual award is an opportunity for residents to show their appreciation for cultivating a strong business community. Investing in local business is investing in the sustainable future of Stony Plain,” says Mayor William Choy.
Choy continues “We encourage all residents, customers, employees and business owners to nominate a local business they believe is an Ambassador of Action. There are many businesses in Stony Plain that have worked hard to transform and progress their operations to grow within their industries. The Town wants to feature some of these stories and show appreciation for their successes.”
Laverne Pankratz, is the owner and founder of Pankratz Enterprises, and last year’s Ambassador of Action Award winner. “We were incredibly honored to be the 2016 recipient of this award. Over the years, we have strived to provide our clients with innovative, excellent service and cultivate relationships with wonderful vendors who support our vision. We are so proud to be part of this vibrant community that celebrates growing businesses and their contributions.”
Nominations can be submitted online at www.choosestonyplain.com/award. The deadline to nominate a business is Tuesday, September 19. This year’s award will be presented at the 2017 Stony Plain and District Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala, hosted by the Stony Plain and District Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday, November 4.
