A Canadian girl wooed him from afar with poems and mix tapes and their unique story forms a charming part of his show.
Elk Point, AB: Rising Star Award at the Edmonton Music Awards, opening for Brent Kissell, and Charlie Major are all helping this country singer get ready to have her biggest year yet. With songs like "Make up to Mud" and "Please Maybe" this gifted songwriter is just getting started.
Lethbridge/Calgary AB: Consisting of core members Ryan Phillips and Dylan Jerome Wagner, the two developed an honest and focused song writing relationship by becoming great friends not only in the band but being supportive in their person lives as well. Together, they push each other in their song writing limits further and further maturing the band's indie-rock sound.
Yellowknife, NWT: Winner of the Indigenous Artists of the Year, Singer-Songwriter of the Year, and Artist to Watch from the Edmonton Music Awards. As a songwriter in a family of accomplished musicians, Jay threads together the colours of his own ancestral traditions: Dene spiriturals, Irish ballads, Canadian folk, and rock. Archerwill, SK: This six-time Saskatchewan Country Music Association "Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year" award winner has shared the stage with Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, and Neal McCoy. Prevost launched his 5th studio album last fall entitled "Radio". The album was produced by award winning producer Jeff Johnson and Jesse Weiman.
