Adopt-A-Driveway (Snow Removal Program) Adopt-A-Driveway Program Information Package
Adopt-A-Driveway is a volunteer service program where individuals, organizations, businesses, classrooms, families, and groups of youth can commit to removing snow from the driveway and entrance way of a community resident in need.
Interested volunteers can contact us and be matched with a resident(s) in need of snow clearing in their neighbourhood. The volunteer is committed to the same resident throughout the campaign but may adopt more than one driveway if desired.
Annual Seniors' Week Block Party
Seniors make a difference in our communities every day! From supporting family members and friends to assisting charities and volunteering, seniors are deeply involved in our community and their contributions benefit individuals of all ages. Stony Plain Family Community Support Services and the Stony Plain Youth Centre, host an intergenerational Block Party each year during Seniors' Week in honor of seniors. Take the time to acknowledge Alberta’s seniors and all that they contribute to our quality of life. Your participation in Seniors' Week activities helps to highlight and show appreciation for our seniors. Seniors' Week celebrations take place during the first week of June.

Caring Friends is a confidential and informal bereavement support group lead by trained bereavement counsellors. Participants have an opportunity to share their feelings and understand the emotions associated with grief in a safe, supportive environment.
Home Support Program
The Stony Plain Home Support Program provides home support to Stony Plain and Parkland County residents in need. The program provides companionship, meal preparation, homemaking, and subsidized transportation services.The Home Support Program is made possible by FCSS’ contract with Serving Hands, Senior Care.
We are accepting applications for the Home Support Program.
