Public Input Sessions
Public Input Sessions are the first item on the agenda at all regular Council meetings and run for a maximum of 15 minutes. Each participant is given a maximum of five minutes to speak to Council.
Discussion on the following items will NOT be permitted:
- Items that are on the current agenda;
- Items that are currently being dealt with at a Statutory public hearing;
- Issues that are being discussed at the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board meeting(s); and
- Issues that are before the Assessment Review Board.
While not mandatory, citizens are strongly encouraged to register in advance by providing a brief written submission outlining their concerns.
Note that the Public Input Session is citizens' opportunity to address Council in a formal Council meeting setting. There is no debate on, nor decisions made about, the issue(s) presented during this session; however, Council may ask questions for clarification.
