Umbach Storm Pond Construction Update - January 12

Crews will be on location Friday, January 13 and Saturday, January 14 to transport equipment. On Saturday, traffic may be impacted between 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. as large equipment is walked out of the construction site. Traffic controls will be in place to direct motorists and reduce wait times.

The work will not impact the status of the Umbach Off-Leash Dog Park; however, park users may experience delays getting to and from the park.

49th Avenue Traffic Disruption

DECEMBER 15 UPDATE: A full closure along 49th Avenue between the Sonora apartment complex and Burger King, and along Brown Street north of 50th Avenue beings today at 9:30 a.m. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible and follow traffic controls in place.

Umbach Storm Pond Construction Update - December 9

Construction at the Umbach Storm Pond will be commencing next week and ramping up throughout December and into January. There will be an increased number of construction vehicles accessing the site with measures taken to limit construction traffic to early morning and late afternoon.

Piling operations will take place on Monday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 13. There will be increased noise in the area over those two days. Umbach Dog Park users will also notice equipment running throughout...

TELUS PureFibre Update - December 1

TELUS's PureFibre construction program has completed for 2022. The PureFibre network will be available for customer orders in the areas constructed in January 2023. TELUS has informed the Town they will resume PureFibre construction in 2024.

TELUS PureFibre Update - November 22, 2022

All civil construction and backfill in The Glens and Fairways was completed as of October 30, 2022. TELUS crews will continue to be on location to perform splicing and testing. TELUS anticipates PureFibre will be released to customers in the area come January 2023.
