Umbach Storm Pond Construction Update - January 12

Crews will be on location Friday, January 13 and Saturday, January 14 to transport equipment. On Saturday, traffic may be impacted between 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. as large equipment is walked out of the construction site. Traffic controls will be in place to direct motorists and reduce wait times.
The work will not impact the status of the Umbach Off-Leash Dog Park; however, park users may experience delays getting to and from the park.

2022 External Audit Planning Report Presented to Council
The 2022 External Financial Audit Planning Report has been presented to Council. As per Canadian Audit Standards, an external audit of the Town’s financials is carried out annually and the planning report communicated to Council.
Findings from the financial audit will be presented at the April 24, 2023 Council Meeting.

Let’s Talk Mental Health! A new campaign is coming to Stony Plain to increase awareness of mental health among cultures and spark community conversations.
From January 19 to 26, the Town of Stony Plain will be sharing informational posts on social media exploring how different cultures understand and address mental health. The online campaign is part of the Stony Plain Inclusion and Diversity action plan working to build a more inclusive and welcoming community through connection and understanding.
