Doing your taxes can put money in your pocket. There are benefits, credits and tax deductions you could get if you do your taxes every year. During March and April, people with low to modest incomes and simple tax situations are supported to have their taxes completed for free by dedicated volunteers. Town Naming Policy Update
Council was presented with an update to the Town Naming Policy during last night’s meeting. Currently, Stony Plain adheres to the Subdivision, Street, and Building Naming Policy approved back in 2003 and theAmenity Naming Policy approved in 2017. Downtown Streetlight Installation

Streetlight installation is underway on Main Street this week. Fortis will be on site from February 3-5 and will occupy multiple parking stalls along the street as they complete installation work. Please watch for crews and proceed through the area safely. Timelines are weather dependent.
Downtown Night Construction

Night construction will take place January 29 on the west end of 52 Avenue for sanitary line improvements. Work will continue on January 30 at the east end of 52 Avenue and be completed the week of February 3 at the east end of 50 Avenue. All work will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. There will be some noise from the use of a hydro vac truck, however, the road will remain open to traffic during construction. Some lane closures may occur.

Regional Transit Services Commission Report
