STONY PLAIN, AB: The Town of Stony Plain’s 2022 Annual Report has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for their Canadian Award for Financial Reporting (CanFR). This is the twelfth consecutive year the Town has received the award.

Glenforest Crescent Fire

A fire investigation is underway following a fire that engulfed two homes in Glenforest Crescent off 57th Avenue in The Glens neighbourhood. The Stony Plain Fire department received the call at 2:19 PM Sunday afternoon.
Fire Chief Trevor Mistal says, “Due to the size of the fire we called upon our mutual aid partners, Spruce Grove and Parkland County to assist. A total of 33 firefighters worked together to put the fire out.”
