Residential Street Sweeping 2025

Residential Street Sweeping begins this week! Signs will be posted in neighbourhoods the day before sweeping starts. Please remove all vehicles, basketball nets, and driveway ramps from the street to provide clear access for the equipment and to prevent damage to property. To find out when we will be in your area, visit www.stonyplain.com/roads.  Estimated schedules are weather dependent and crews will not be in areas during garbage collection.

Residential Back Alley Snow Removal Resume

Residential back alley snow removal has resumed.

Help the crews to remove as much snow as they can with these tips:

• Provide the equipment a lot of space to move, pull your waste bins and basketball nets out of the alley so they do not get damaged by the blades.  
• Walk around your property and ensure there is nothing reaching into the driving lane, materials should not obstruct the alley. Materials can get caught by the blade, dragged into the lane and then picked up by the snow blowers.

Residential Back Alley Snow Removal Paused

Residential back alley snow removal is paused on February 14th so crews may work on priority roads.  They will return to the back alleys next week.

Snow Clearing Update February 5

On February 6, crews will be removing snow in the downtown core, please avoid parking on the streets and give the operators the space they need to maneuver. Crews will begin at 6 am to clear as much off main street before businesses open. A map of the snow clearing routes is available here.
