STONY PLAIN, AB: Nominations are now open for Stony Plain’s Award of Creative Excellence and Award of Business Excellence. These two honours celebrate the individuals and businesses whose work makes a lasting impact through creativity, leadership, innovation, outstanding service, and community spirit.
Anyone can submit a nomination, and businesses or individuals are welcome to nominate themselves.

Park West R8 Land Use Bylaw Amendment Receives First Reading
At last night’s meeting, Council gave first reading to amended Land Use Bylaw 2726/LUO/25. The proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw redistricts 4204 Veterans Boulevard from C2 – General Commercial to R8 – High Density Residential. The proposed change supports future residential development in the South Business Park and aligns with the Municipal Development Plan and neighbourhood plan.

Public Works Building Construction Update – July 8

Construction is complete on the new Public Works Administration Building! The final touches, including interior paint, flooring, lighting, and doors, are finished. The project has now moved into the furnishing stage.
This modern facility marks a significant step forward in supporting essential municipal services and preparing for continued community growth. As identified in the 2025-2027 Corporate Plan, the building will strengthen operational capacity and help meet the Town’s future needs.
