Property Taxation Bylaw Sets Rates for 2022
First reading has been given to the Property Taxation Bylaw (Bylaw 2658/T AX/22). The bylaw authorizes the rates of taxation to be levied against property within Stony Plain for the 2022 taxation year.

TELUS has informed the Town that spring restoration work remains in a holding pattern as they wait for frozen ground to thaw and drain. TELUS will continue to monitor safety hazards and install temporary protections where needed.
Construction has begun on main feeder routes that bring service from the main central office out to the neighbourhoods. Work in Southridge (partly completed in 2021) will begin at the end of May and continue in the Fibre Service Areas throughout the summer.

Ready for spring cleaning? Get your cleaning underway in time for the annual Treasure Hunt and Large Item Drop Off returning to Stony Plain the weekend of May 13.
The Treasure Hunt will be in full swing on May 13 and May 14. Community members can shop the front lawns of participating neighbours to repurpose household goods and reusable items. Following the Treasure Hunt, residents can bring leftover large items to the Public Works yard (4505 50 Avenue) on May 15 from 9AM to 4PM for free disposal.
