Councillor Harold Pawlechko Sworn in as Deputy Mayor
Councillor Harold Pawlechko was appointed Deputy Chief Elected Official during last night’s meeting. As per the Municipal Government Act, each Councillor serves as Deputy Chief Elected Official (Deputy Mayor) twice within their Council term. Councillor Pawlechko will serve as Deputy Mayor from February 28 to June 30, or until the appointment of the next Deputy.

Become a Local Expert with the New Tourism Ambassador Program

A new tourism program is coming to town. Stony Plain businesses are invited to become ‘Tourism Ambassadors’ by participating in a collaborative training program with the Town of Stony Plain and the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program Provides Free Tax Filing Assistance

With tax season around the corner, the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is preparing to support residents with tax filing. The program provides over the phone tax filing for Stony Plain and Parkland County residents with modest income and simple tax situations, and further hosts educational sessions on a variety of tax and benefits topics.
