Telus PureFibre Update for October 28

Telus is still working diligently in the Forest Green neighbourhood to install each house with PureFibre. With Halloween this weekend the Town would like to ask parents and trick-or-treaters to be mindful of taped off areas. Keep your kids safe, if you see construction tape please stay away from that area. Thank you!

Town Welcomes Newly Elected Council

The Town of Stony Plain has welcomed the newly elected Town Council. Mayor William Choy and Councillors Justin Anderson, Pat Hansard, Justin Laurie, Melanie Loyns, Eric Meyer, and Harold Pawlechko were sworn into Council during last night’s Organizational Meeting.

Highway 779 Update - October 22

Alberta Transportation has updated the Town on the Highway 779 construction project.

Work is beginning on short retaining walls in front of a few properties on the east side of 48 Street and one location on the west side. For safety reasons, sections of the sidewalk on the east side of the road will be closed to pedestrian traffic, between 55 and 52 Avenue during the day while construction is on going over the next three weeks. Oatway Drive and Brightbank Avenue Update - October 21

The art installation has been installed and base work for the community bulletin board will occur in the next few days. Please stay off the bench and seeded areas. 

Downtown Redevelopment Update - October 21

Downtown Redevelopment construction is beginning to wrap up for 2021. Bench and cladding work is progressing along with streetlight installation and sandblasting. The north entrance pillars installation will begin this Saturday. We appreciate your patience. All construction is weather dependent.
