Town Launches Applications for Business Milestones

Beginning June 4, resident businesses will be able to apply online to receive recognition for a business milestone. Applications will be accepted until July 31, 2021.
In the past, business milestones have been identified by the Town through the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Biannual Luncheon. Due to current restrictions, in-person events are not possible. To ensure business owners are able to receive recognition for milestones, the Town is launching an online application service.

Boulder Boulevard Partial Road Closure - June 7

A portion of Boulder Boulevard will be closed to traffic at 40 Boulder Boulevard for a sewer manhole repair. The closure will be in effect from Monday, June 7 to approximately Friday, June 11. All lanes will be closed for the repair and detours will be in effect. All construction is weather dependent.

Health Canada has announced a new guideline for drinking water quality across the country. Under the new guideline, the maximum acceptable concentration for lead in drinking water has been reduced from 10 to 5 micrograms per litre. In response to changes to water quality targets, the Town of Stony Plain will be implementing a Lead Management Assessment Program beginning in August 2021.

Stony Plain to Welcome a New Francophone School

The Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord (CSCN) and the Town of Stony Plain are excited to announce a Francophone school will be coming to the community.
The announcement is the result of continued advocacy by the CSCN with strong support from local partners.
