Umbach Dog Park Road Construction Update - July 22

Umbach Dog Park Road is almost complete. The road will reopen to traffic and four-legged park users on Saturday, July 24. While the road will be completely accessible, some landscaping work will still be underway. Please obey all traffic signage and stay clear of large equipment and construction workers. We look forward to welcoming your fur babies back to the park!
Downtown Redevelopment Update - July 22

The final phase of Downtown Redevelopment is on schedule. Storm main work has been completed and electrical work is progressing. We remind you that the No Parking signs in the temporary turn around must be left in place to ensure vehicles may access the area. Parking in these blocked off stalls prevents traffic from safely using the turn around. All construction is weather dependent.
Town Launches Annual Citizen at Large Board Recruitment

The Town of Stony Plain is beginning its annual recruitment of residents to participate on multiple Council-appointed advisory boards. Applications for Citizen at Large boards are now open to Stony Plain and Parkland County residents.
Citizen at Large boards and committees provide information, advice, and recommendations to Council and Administration regarding important local issues.

Town Prepares for the Return of Farmers’ Days Rodeo & Exhibition

Stony Plain’s biggest event of the summer is back! The Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club will host Farmers’ Days Rodeo & Exhibition from August 20 to 22 at Heritage Park.
Returning this year are fan favourites including the rodeo, Kids Corral, General Store, beer gardens and entertainment, and the Mayor and Council's Pancake Breakfast.

Meridian Heights Trail Construction Begins

The Town of Stony Plain is currently repairing and replacing the pedestrian trail in the Meridian Heights neighbourhood between 44 Avenue and Highway 16A. The contractor anticipates that construction will be complete by early next week.
The project encompasses the full rehabilitation of the trail on the west side of Whispering Waters Creek to continue to provide great connectivity to our neighbourhoods. Currently, the east side trail is underutilized and in poor condition. As a result,...
