49 Avenue Construction Update - May 21

Construction on 49 Avenue is underway. Traffic has been reduced to one way, eastbound. Milling of the road surface is in progress, starting at Golf Course road westbound to Highway 779. Please drive safely and obey all traffic signals. Construction is weather dependent.

Downtown Redevelopment Update - May 21

Fences have gone up for the final portion of Downtown Redevelopment and concrete removals are underway. Access to businesses in the area will be maintained during the construction season. All construction is weather dependent.

Buddy Up for Suicide Prevention

In Canada, men have a suicide rate three times higher than women. Why? Men have been socialized to be strong, stoic, and self-reliant; showing emotion is a sign of weakness, as is asking for help. CN Track Work on Golf Course Road - May 21

CN has informed the Town that they will be closing the rail crossing on Golf Course Road on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for track repairs. Golf Course Road will be closed to traffic south of the Homesteads subdivision and north of 49 Avenue for the duration of the track work.
