Stony Plain Water Restrictions Lifted

Update July 5. 2021: Reservoir levels have recovered and the water supply has returned to normal conditions. All water restrictions have been lifted.

Due to the recent hot weather, Stony Plain is now under Water Protocol B restrictions. Water Protocol B means there is a ban on non-essential potable water use for all municipal operations and a voluntary water restriction for the general public.

Large Item Ticket Program Coming this August

A new Large Item Ticket Program is coming to Stony Plain this August. Beginning July 5, residents can purchase tickets for eligible large items to be picked up and disposed of by the Town come mid-August.
Tickets are priced at $10 each and one ticket covers one large item. Each household is permitted a maximum of two tickets. Eligible items for the pick up service include:
- Household furniture, washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances (Please note: Fridges and freezers must be empty.)

Construction on Golf Course Road Begins July 7

Construction begins on Golf Course Road next week. During the road construction, Fairways Drive/Brightbank Avenue south to Secondary Highway 628 will be reduced to a single lane. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. Please slow down and obey all signs and flag persons. Concrete work will begin July 7 will road work begins on July 15. Paving is set to be completed by the end of the month.
