Roadway Reconstruction on 49th Street from 44th Avenue to Rotary Park will be starting on June 24, 2019. The work includes roadway excavation, reconstruction, new concrete curbs, crossings and asphalt concrete pavement. Access to Rotary Park, Decker Centre, A&W and Tim Hortons, will be through the East commercial entrance between Tim Hortons and A&W.

Alberta Transportation (AT) has informed the Town they will be paving the southern portion of Hwy 779 from the Town limits to just south of Hwy 628 (79 Ave). Traffic will be reduced to one way for most of the day. As well, new curbs and gutters will be poured on the SW and NW corners of Hwy 628.

The Town of Stony Plain has received a grant from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) in the amount of $136,185.80 for our Storm Water Management Master Plan.
