Paving of 41 Avenue in front of Heritage Park is now underway. The project is should be completed within the next 2-3 weeks, depending on weather. Please watch for detour signs and slow down when approaching the construction area.
Council Gives 1st Reading to the Old Town Community Plan Bylaw

During this week’s Regular Meeting, Town of Stony Plain Council gave first reading to the Old Town Community Plan Bylaw (2613/D&P/19). The bylaw was drafted in order to designate the Old Town region of our community for an Area Redevelopment Plan.

Oh, Canada! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 1, people can make their way to Heritage Park and enjoy a variety of free family-friendly events and activities.
“We have an exciting new lineup this year,” says Community Services Coordinator Tevra Graham. “The day will be packed full of thrilling shows and activities from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. including street performances, a new interactive circus, delicious foods and of course, the classic Show ‘n’ Shine which runs until 4p.m.!”

Paving of 41 Avenue in front of Heritage Park will commence on June 10 or 11, 2019, weather permitting. Please watch for detour signs and slow down when approaching the construction area. The road resurfacing project is expected to be completed within 2-3 weeks.
Crack Sealing Begins This Week

Crack sealing on Stony Plain roads is set to begin June 3 and will continue for approximately one week. There will be minimal disruption to traffic during the sealing process. Areas around schools will be completed after hours to ensure student safety and to avoid interference with school schedules. All maintenance work is weather dependent.
