Downtown Redevelopment Construction Update, October 30

Construction season is coming to its end and the Downtown Redevelopment project is preparing for winter. Fences will be removed this weekend and the road is scheduled to be opened on Sunday, November 1.

Downtown Redevelopment construction is wrapping up for the winter season. Crews continued with paving operations today and are preparing to reopen the road to traffic this coming weekend.

Face Mask Bylaw Now in Effect as Town Placed on ‘Watch’ by Alberta Health Services
Stony Plain has officially been placed on a ‘Watch’ by Alberta Health Services (AHS) with 11 active cases (as of October 26) reported in the community. The Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw is now in effect until further notice. Full details can be read in the official news release.
