Stony Plain Central School Servicing Construction Update, October 16

Construction continues on the new Stony Plain Central School site with trail and sidewalk work this week. Work is expected to continue through to next week. Depending on upcoming weather conditions, sodding may be postponed until next season.
Highway 779 Construction Update, October 16

*UPDATE* OCTOBER 19, 9:35AM - The Town has been informed paving has been postponed until tomorrow (October 20) due to cold temperatures. Two paving crews willl be on site tomorrow working on the northbound lanes from Willow Park Road North to 55 Avenue. Crews will also be working on the 49 Avenue tie-ins and the Rexall access.
*UPDATE* OCTOBER 16, 11:00AM - Due to inclement weather, paving of the northbound lanes between Willow Park Road North and 55 Avenue has been pushed to Monday, October 19.

A new environmental management plan is in the works and Stony Plain residents are invited to make their opinion count! Community members are encouraged to share their thoughts on environmental topics in Stony Plain through an online survey. 2020 Public Auction Scheduled for December 11
Council has approved the Terms and Conditions of Sale for the 2020 Public Auction and the Town is moving forward with preparations. Every year, the Municipal Government Act (MGA) requires that municipalities prepare a list showing properties that have tax arrears which are offered for sale at public auction.

Get into the Halloween Spirit with a Spooky Scavenger Hunt!

With the Mini Monster Bash cancelled due to COVID-19, the Town is introducing a new family-friendly event to get residents into the Halloween spirit: the Halloween Haunted House Hunt! Community members are invited to get out and explore the town in search of miniature haunted houses.
