Downtown Redevelopment Construction Update, October 8

Downtown redevelopment pushes forward with the completion of paving on Main Street. The crosswalk at 52 Avenue and 50 Street has been poured and line painting south of 51 Avenue is complete. Main Street will be open by Sunday morning with a temporary turnaround in front of Busy "B" Workshop and Main Street Medical Clinic. All drivers are reminded there is no parking permitted in the turnaround area.
Highway 779 Construction Update, October 8

Alberta Transportation (AT) has informed the Town of recent construction updates for the Highway 779 construction project.
The 51 Avenue intersection was reopened to traffic on Monday, October 5 and the 52 Avenue intersection was reopened Tuesday, October 6. The multi-use trails have been paved and are open to pedestrians between 49 Avenue and 53 Avenue, and between 55 Avenue and 57 Avenue. Crews will be working on finishing up concrete work on 49 Avenue between 48 Street and Golf Course Road beginning tomorrow. Flag people will be on site to assist traffic in the area.
