Canada Day Goes Virtual in the Capital Region

The Capital Region is coming together to host a virtual Canada Day celebration this year. Multiple communities across the Edmonton Metropolitan Region will be hosting online activities for residents to participate in. The Town of Stony Plain will be participating in the festivities alongside its regional neighbours and will be releasing a special video celebrating the Canadian spirit.

Stony Plain Central School Site Update May 29

Underground work has begun at the Stony Plain Central School site. Updates will be released as work progresses. The project is estimated to be complete late summer.
Downtown Redevelopment Update May 28

Tree planting downtown is scheduled to take place this week between 52 Avenue and 51 Avenue. Work on the water mains from 51 Avenue to 50 Avenue will continue throughout the week.
Golf Course Road Construction Begins June 1

ATCO is scheduled to begin gas line work on Golf Course Road between Highway 628 and north of Brightbank Avenue. Construction will begin Monday, June 1 at 12PM and is expected to continue until early July (weather dependent). Traffic light accommodations will be in place at Highridge Way and Golf Course Road.
