Work on Alberta Transportation’s 48 Street (Hwy 779) Widening Project will resume on Monday, May 25th. Work will start on the west side of the roadway at 57 Avenue and proceed north to 55 Avenue. Due to scheduling issues, the removal of the service road between 55 Avenue and 53 Avenue has been rescheduled to a later date following the completion of the relocation of the gas main in the back lanes. Downtown Redevelopment Construction Update May 21

Construction downtown has been put on pause due to inclement weather. Work will resume once the rain passes. Temporary water is up and running on the west side with the east side expected to be active by Monday.

Alberta Transportation (AT) has informed the Town that beginning Tuesday morning, May 19, road widening construction will be proceeding as part of AT's Highway 779 project. Underground construction is set to continue, and temporary water lines will be live next week. Downtown will be getting a little greener as landscaping begins. Residents should be on the lookout for crews working on the large planters between 51st and 52nd Avenue over the course of the week.
