Temporary Walkway Closure

The east walkway on Main Street directly in front of Dara’s Luxury Décor and Coffee Bar will be temporarily closed on Friday, August 30. Pedestrians may still access all businesses to the north of Dara’s from 51 Avenue. Businesses to the south, including Dara’s, will need to access the walkway from 52 Avenue. Full north/south access will be restored on Saturday, August 31.
Mural Unveiling – Good Samaritan Society

Stony Plain, alongside The Good Samaritan Society and local artist James Mackay, will be unveiling a new mural on September 12th. All are welcome to attend the big reveal at the Stony Plain Care Centre on 55th Avenue at 11:00 a.m. The mural was commissioned in celebration of the Society’s 70th anniversary of establishment.

Highway 779 Detour

The detour for the Highway 779 Road Closure from Highway 628 to Willow Park Road (south entrance) is now in effect.
Willow Park Road is a residential area and not part of the detour route. Local Traffic Only signs are posted in the construction zone. Local traffic only includes Willow Park residents.
All other traffic including residents from Westerra and Genesis should detour via Golf Course Road. Do not use Willow Park Road/Willow Way to detour the construction zone.
