49th Street and 41st Avenue Paving

Paving the 49th Street entrance to Rotary Park is set to begin this June. An exact date has yet to be set, however it is expected to be complete within 2-3 weeks. This project will also see the addition of a separate turning lane into the Decker Centre business area. During construction, access to the business area will be limited to the east entrance on 44 Avenue. Main Street Parking Time Limits and Parking Map

With the next phase of Downtown Redevelopment set to begin this June, the Town has developed a downtown parking map to help outline available on-street and off-street spaces.
Additionally, the Town recently implemented 2 hour parking time limits on Main Street and 3 hour parking time limits on the immediate side streets. Stony Plain’s Dog Agility Course Opens to the Public

After a brief pause in construction due to weather, the Stony Plain Dog Agility Course in Umbach Off-Leash Dog Park is now officially open to the public. You and your furry friend can make your way over to the new course to start putting your skills to the test!
“I’m excited this project is now complete,” says Councillor Judy Bennett. “The structure is designed similar to a world agility course, and yet it can be used by beginner dogs, as well as to help trainers further develop their handling skills.”

New Farmers’ Days Rotary Parade Route

The Farmers’ Days Rotary Parade route has been finalized. With the Downtown Redevelopment set to begin, the Town is happy to announce the construction project contractor and the Town Parade organizers were successful in working together to allow for the Parade to make its way down the heart of the Town, Main Street.
