Summer Sessions Celebrates Fifth Year

The Town of Stony Plain’s popular Summer Sessions concert series kicks off its fifth season, this June. Starting Wednesday, June 19, music-lovers can listen to great Canadian talent in Shikaoi Park next to Town Hall. The rain or shine concerts start at 7:00 p.m., are family-friendly, and free!
This year’s lineup includes the following musicians:
June 19 - Clayton Bellamy with Special Guest Alex Nikolaychuk

Farmers’ Days Rodeo & Exhibition 2019 is One Month Away!

The biggest event of the year is back! The Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club will host Farmers’ Days Rodeo & Exhibition from May 31-June 2 at Heritage Park. Visitors from across Alberta will make their way to the three-day festival, which includes a rodeo, live music, midway rides, the Mayor’s Pancake Breakfast, Kids Korral, and of course, the annual Rotary Parade (new route for 2019).

Mental Health Week runs May 5-May 11 throughout the province. The stigma attached to mental illnesses presents a barrier for diagnosis and deters people from seeking treatment. Veterans Boulevard Spring Work

Minor construction activities on Veterans Boulevard is beginning for the 2019 season. The work will be primarily to finish off the boulevards, mainly south of Fairway Drive. Please slow down and drive carefully to ensure the safety of workers. Construction is expected to be complete in 4-5 weeks (weather dependant).
