CN Annual Vegetation Management Program

Canadian National Railway has informed the Town that it will be conducting its annual vegetation control program.
According to CN, they are required to clear its rights-of-way from any vegetation that may pose a safety hazard. Vegetation on railway rights-of-way, if left uncontrolled, can contribute to trackside fires and impair proper inspection of track infrastructure.
As such, for safe railway operations, the annual vegetation control program will be carried out on CN rail lines in the province...

2019 Town of Stony Plain Census launches May 1

For the first time since 2015, the Town of Stony Plain is preparing for a municipal census. The 2019 census will begin on May 1 and runs until June 12.
A Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be delivered to Town of Stony Plain households starting on May 1 to May 5. Residents can use the unique PIN to complete the census either online, or complete it in-person with an enumerator.
