Suicide Prevention Week: You Are Tough Enough

Posted On Tuesday September 03, 2019

This year’s theme for Suicide Prevention Week is “You are Tough Enough”: You are tough enough to get through another day, you are tough enough to speak out about mental health, you are tough enough to help someone struggling and you are tough enough to overcome the stigmas and taboos that surround suicide and mental health.

“Suicide doesn’t discriminate by age, gender or your socio-economic standing; everyone is susceptible to changes in their mental and physical health that can lead to the choice to end life.  At work, at home or at school, individuals need to be able to talk about mental health openly, without judgement or fear of repercussions to navigate these times of crisis.”- Angela Fetch Muzyka, Community Development Coordinator for Creating Hope.

Suicide Prevention Week runs September 8 - September 14 with World Suicide Day September 10.

This year our campaign focuses on the strength that comes from being connected.  Connect at our events:
