In partnership with the Town of Stony Plain, City of Spruce Grove and Parkland County, there are three transit options provided in the region; On-Demand, Commuter and an Accessible Transportation Service. Service is available in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Parkland Village and Acheson.

Support Groups

Grief and loss

  • Caring Friends: An informal bereavement support group led by trained volunteers in a confidential and supportive environment

  • Living with Loss to Suicide: A peer-led support group for individuals who have lost someone to suicide. The group meets in person at the Stan Wolyshyn Building in Spruce Grove on the last Monday of each month at 6:30 PM. Facilitated by Meryl Murray, Registered Social Worker

  • Youth Suicide Grief Support: Tailored peer support groups for youth ages 12 to 17 and young adults ages 18 to 25 who are grieving a suicide loss

Parenting and caregiving support

  • BILY – Because I Love You: A peer-led support group for parents and youth who have experienced crisis situations. Participants support one another by sharing, listening, and providing practical resources in a safe and understanding environment
  • Caregiver Connections: An online support group for parents, partners, and caregivers of individuals living with mental health concerns and/or addiction. Sessions are held Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM through CMHA Edmonton

First Responder support

  • OSI-CAN Alberta: A peer support group for first responders managing operational stress injuries (OSI). Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, offering a safe space to connect with others who share similar experiences.

Women's support

  • Finding Our Voices: a six-week program for women-identifying individuals to explore self-esteem, self-image, communication, compassion, and healthy relationships in a supportive, peer-connected environment

Community Connector and Youth Mental Health Clinic

Westview Primary Care Network Partners with the Stony Plain Youth Centre to provide support with a Community Connector that spends time in our space offering connections to resources including the Youth Mental Health Clinic and a variety of other Resources.
