Join the Canada Day celebrations! Stony Plain is celebrating Canada Day with a day of free family-friendly fun in the sun.

An event will be hosted at Heritage Park, the Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum grounds, and on Main Street July 1 from 10AM – 2PM. Festivities will include a big top tent circus, Indigenous cultural exhibit, kids’ activities and crafts, live entertainment, and a car show on Main Street.

“Free community events like Canada Day bring everyone together and play a key role in fostering the Stony Plain spirit. I encourage everyone to come out and join us for a day of celebration!” says Mayor William Choy.

“This year’s event has no shortage of fun for the whole family. From circus performers to a foam pit party, the celebration will feature an assortment of free activities for residents to enjoy,” says Event Coordinator Tevra Graham. “In addition to games and crafts, there will also be cultural exhibitions including hand drum singers, classic Métis musical performances, hoop dancers, and a traditional Chinese dragon dance. There is going to be a lot of excitement!”

Parking will be available at Heritage Park and limited parking will be available in the downtown area.
