Community members are invited to Connect with Council at this year’s Tri-Expo & Marketplace. The annual event is hosted by the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce at the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre from April 3 to April 5.

The Connect with Council booth is returning this year and councillors are inviting residents to stop by and chat about local issues and happenings around town.

It’s time to sharpen those putting skills! Expo guests will have their short-game put to the test with a fun mini-golf challenge. Guests can come out and compete against Council members in a one-on-one putting match. Golfers who boast a better scorecard than the competing councillor will have their names included in a draw for a grand prize with Stony Plain Golf Course swag and green fee certificates up for grabs.

“The Expo creates an approachable environment for community members to come in and get in touch with Council members,” says Mayor William Choy. “It’s also a great opportunity for Council members to learn more about our community and connect with residents directly. Council always enjoys meeting with the community and the Expo is the perfect place to do just that. I am looking forward to showing off my putting skills this year. I hope residents are ready to come out and play!”  

The 2020 Tri-Expo & Marketplace schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, April 3: 3PM – 7PM
  • Saturday, April  4: 10AM – 5PM
  • Sunday, April 5: 10AM – 4PM
