Updated Procurement Policy Presented to Council

The updated Procurement Policy has been approved by Council. Key revisions to the policy include an updated title, refined definitions, adjustments to language and standards, and modifications to purchasing thresholds for improved flexibility and resource optimization while complying with trade agreements.

Council Compensation and Expenses Policy Approved

The Council Compensation and Expenses Policy has been approved by Council to authorize Administration to determine the most appropriate manner to conduct a Council compensation review that provides fair, consistent, and adequate compensation for Elected Officials at a level that will attract community-minded citizens as candidates for public office.

Cultural Roundtable Citizen-at Large Board Appointed

Council has appointed Kim Wild as the Indigenous Representative on the Cultural Roundtable. After the annual Citizen-at-large board appointments in October 2023, the Cultural Roundtable had two open positions. Administration launched an advertising campaign on its website and through social media to address these vacancies, leading to this appointment.

2023 Fourth Quarter Report Presented to Council

The fourth quarterly report of 2023 has been presented to Council. Quarterly reports are comprehensive reporting tools that serve as benchmarks for the ongoing operation of the Town of Stony Plain. Throughout the year, reports are compiled to track progress toward strategic goals and highlight achievements across the organization.

Q4 2023 Strategic and Corporate Plan Presented to Council

The Q4 2023 Strategic and Corporate Plan Report was presented to Council. Annually in Q4 Administration presents to Council the Corporate Plan, which aligns work, allocates resources and outlines measured progress in the achievement of the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan outlines the priorities and measurable outcomes to guide the Town towards the long-term vision defined in the Municipal Development Plan. The Strategic and Corporate Plan quarterly report provides the progress status on actions and results of the key initiatives from each of these guiding documents.
