The biggest event of the year is back! The Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club will host Farmers’ Days Rodeo & Exhibition from May 31-June 2 at Heritage Park. Visitors from across Alberta will make their way to the three-day festival, which includes a rodeo, live music, midway rides, the Mayor’s Pancake Breakfast, Kids Korral, and of course, the annual Rotary Parade (new route for 2019).

New to this year, there will be Strongest Man and Woman competitions during scheduled times on June 1 and 2. There will also be drop-in Axe throwing from 12:00 - 4:00PM Saturday and Sunday. Daily unlimited ride wristbands for the midway are also new to 2019.

We are currently looking for sponsors, volunteers and vendors for this year’s event. Contact community services for more information

Residents are reminded there is absolutely no parking on site during Farmers Days, and are encouraged to use the free Park & Ride service provided throughout town. There is also no parking on 43rd Ave off of 50th Street. This is restricted to residents of 43rd Ave.

“Residents look forward to Farmers’ Days every year. It’s the biggest event of the year,” says Kelly Maluta, Community Services Coordinator. “This fun and exciting weekend attracts thousands of attendees, some who call Stony Plain home, and others who will visit and explore our community for the first time—and hopefully not for the last!”
