Councillors Laurie and Pawlechko Recognized for Years of Service on the Stony Plain Fire Department
Council recognized two members of Council for their years of service on the Stony Plain Fire Department last evening. Councillor Justin Laurie was recognized for 8 years of service and Councillor Harold Pawlechko was recognized for 26 years of service. Council presented each Councillor with their framed bunker jacket name bar and helmet badge.
North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance Presentation to Council
At last night’s Governance & Priorities Committee Meeting, Kelsie Norton, Watershed Planning Coordinator of North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance provided a presentation to Council. The presentation included an update on the Alliance’s work in the watershed, progress on several projects, and opportunities for collaboration and participation.

Emergency Management Update
Emergency management and municipal responsibility is legislated by the Government of Alberta (GOA). Administration is required to provide Council with an annual update on emergency management activities.
The update captured activities for both 2022 and 2023.
