Alberta Transportation has provided the following update to construction on Provincial Highway 779.

Machine pouring of the sidewalk along the east side of 48 Street, between 50 Avenue and 55 Avenue, will take place Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12. Hand pouring tie-ins along the sidewalk will follow, between Monday, June14 and Friday, June 18.

Work on the back lanes has resumed following the rain this week. Crews will continue placing granular base Friday, June11 and are expected to be done by end of day end of day Tuesday, June 15. Paving of the back lanes is tentatively scheduled for late next week.

Now that O’Hanlon is finished paving 49 Avenue, work has resumed on placing granular base on the widening. Placing of the granular material should be complete by the end of day Saturday, June 12 and paving of the widening and accesses off of 49 Avenue is tentatively scheduled for Wednesda,y June 16.

Work will resume on the separate sidewalk on the east side of 48 Street,  between 50 Avenue and 49 Avenue, early next week.

The landscaping of the medians, between Willow Park Road North will take place the later half of next week.
