Oh, Canada! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 1, people can make their way to Heritage Park and enjoy a variety of free family-friendly events and activities.

“We have an exciting new lineup this year,” says Community Services Coordinator Tevra Graham. “The day will be packed full of thrilling shows and activities from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. including street performances, a new interactive circus, delicious foods and of course, the classic Show ‘n’ Shine which runs until 4p.m.!”

The day’s events and activities include:

  • NEW Interactive Circus
  •  NEW Street performers
  •  Kids Zone at the Pioneer Museum
  • Art Walk featuring a variety of local artists and artisans  
  • Food vendors and trucks
  • Show and Shine Classic Car Show until 4 p.m.
  • Citizenship Ceremony Welcoming new Canadians

“Heritage Park is the perfect place to celebrate Canada Day,” says Mayor William Choy. “Whether you decide to take in some street performance shows, buy a new piece at the Artwalk, or join in welcoming new citizens to Canada, you’re sure to create new memories with your families and neighbours.”
