NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR – BYLAW 2614/D&P/19

Stony Plain Equities Municipal Reserve Land Swap

at the Town of Stony Plain Council Chambers – 4905 – 51 Avenue

 

Town of Stony Plain Council the will hold a public hearing for the purpose of hearing submissions regarding a municipal reserve land swap.

Purpose of Bylaw 2614/D&P/19 Stony Plain Equities Municipal Reserve Land Swap

To dispose and designate municipal reserve lands to facilitate a municipal reserve land swap between Plan 122 2965 Block 3 Lot 13MR and Plan 052 1452 Block 3 Lot 3.

The commercial lot on the southwest corner of Highway 16A and Veterans Boulevard (Plan 052 1452 Block 3 Lot 3) requires a portion of Town owned land (Plan 122 2965 Block 3 Lot 13MR) for access. This bylaw will provide the necessary land to support an access to the commercial lot (area to be disposed) and create new municipal reserve or park space (area to be designated).

Lot 13MR provides a trail connection between 28 Street and Veterans Boulevard, which will be reconstructed as part of the development of the commercial lot.

Hearing Procedure

This is a formal public hearing and Council will hear verbal presentations from those who wish to speak to the proposed Bylaw 2614/D&P/19. Written submissions received at the Town Office or by email prior to 4:00pm on Monday, July 8, 2019 will be discussed at the Public Hearing before verbal presentations will be received. 

This Bylaw may be inspected in the Planning and Infrastructure Office at 4905 – 51 Ave between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday and can be viewed on the Town’s website at www.stonyplain.com. Email any questions or comments to planning@stonyplain.com.
