Town of Stony Plain Council will hold a public hearing for the purpose of hearing submissions regarding Bylaw 2681/G/23.

Purpose of Bylaw 2681/G/23 – Public Advertisement Bylaw

A Public Advertisement Bylaw is being proposed as per Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA). This bylaw prescribes the methods of notice used by Administration when advertising for proposed bylaws, resolutions, public hearings, or other things referred to in Section 606 of the MGA. This bylaw provides clear direction to staff responsible for providing this service as well as clear expectations for the public on how they will be notified.

Public Hearing Procedure

Members of the public wishing to address Council with comments on Bylaw 2681/G/23 may provide a written submission or make a verbal presentation during the public hearing.

Written submissions must be mailed or delivered to the Stony Plain Town Office at 4905-51 Avenue, or emailed to and received by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 to be included in the public hearing agenda.
