Public Advertisement Bylaw 2681/G/23 Receives Second and Third Readings

The Public Advertisement Bylaw 2681/G/23 received first reading on November 14, 2023. It outlines how the Town will inform the public about important matters as outlined in Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, such as designated bylaws and public hearings. It sets clear guidelines for Town staff and ensures the public knows what to expect in terms of notification.

Following the public hearing held during last night’s meeting, Council approved the Public Advertisement Bylaw by passing second and third readings.

User Fees and Charges Bylaw 2682/G/23 Receives First, Second, and Third Readings

The User Fees and Charges Bylaw 2682/G/23 was presented to Council for consideration at the November 27 Regular Council Meeting. However, Council requested more information be provided before passing any motions.

The bylaw was brought back to Council for consideration at last night’s meeting. Council approved the User Fees and Charges Bylaw by passing first, second, and third readings.

Cultural Roundtable Citizen-at-Large Board Appointment: Patty Mackay

After the yearly Citizen-at-large board appointments in October, two vacancies remained on the Cultural Roundtable for Creative Cultural Industry Representative and Indigenous Representative. The Town received one application.

At last night’s Council meeting, Patty Mackay was appointed as Creative Cultural Industry Representative for a two-year term.
