Regular Council Meeting Highlights for February 8, 2021
Stony Plain FCSS Joins Town of Stony Plain
The integration of Stony Plain Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) into the Town of Stony Plain corporate structure has been approved. On September 9, 2020, the FCSS Board passed a unanimous motion recommending the complete integration of Stony Plain FCSS into the Town with Council assuming the governance and strategic responsibilities. The proposal for the move was brought to Council last month at the January 11, 2021 meeting.
The organizational move has no anticipated budget impacts. A Terms of Reference will be presented to Council in the second quarter.

Council Repeals Corporate Identity Policy
Council approved the repeal, update, and replacement of the Corporate Identity Policy as an Administrative Policy. The Corporate Identity Policy provides the Town with a visual identity and establishes a unified standard for branding across all departments. After review, Administration found the current policy, approved in 2009, to be outdated and not in line with current Town applications. With Council’s approval, Administration will move forward with creating a new Administrative Corporate Identity Policy and Procedure.
No changes to the Town logo or seal are proposed at this time. The new Administrative Corporate Identity Policy and Procedure will be made available on the Town website.
Read more about the Corporate Identity Policy in the agenda package on pages 71 – 99.
