After a year of being closed, the Town is excited to announce the Stony Plain Outdoor Pool will be open by the end of May. The Rotary Spray Park is scheduled to open in early June.

The announcement follows direction provided by Alberta Health Services (AHS). At this time, only private bookings will be permitted at the pool in line with AHS guidelines. Additional pool programs will be offered as restrictions allow.

“We have been working closely with Alberta Health Services to determine the next best steps for opening the pool in line with public health guidelines. While we are all eager to get out and enjoy the pool, we must ensure our facility is operating safely and not posing a safety risk to residents and pool staff,” says Melanie Samson, Recreation Services Manager.

“The pool reopening this summer is fantastic news for our community,” says Mayor William Choy. “Both the outdoor pool and the spray park bring so many families joy over the summer months. They provide a much needed break and create opportunities for our residents to safely enjoy summer activities."

The Stony Plain Outdoor Pool is operated by the TransAlta Tri-Leisure Centre. All booking and programming requests will need to be directed to the Tri-Leisure.For booking, please email spop@trileisure.com.

The Stony Plain Outdoor Pool and Rotary Spray Park operations will follow public health orders. Please be advised restrictions are subject to change.
