Stony Plain continues to expand its network of community bulletin boards, with one of the latest additions proudly sponsored by West Parkland Gas Co-op in Genesis on the Lakes. These new bulletin boards are part of Stony Plain's ongoing Signage Strategy, an initiative designed to establish a unified brand identity and vision for our community.

Each community bulletin board not only offers space for community announcements by residents and businesses but also provides a place for marketing and important information from the Town. "During our Be in the Know! campaign, residents confirmed community bulletin boards were one of the top communication tools they use to receive information from their neighbours and the municipality. We've listened to this feedback and are thrilled to present this latest sign sponsored by West Parkland Gas Co-op," says Senior Communications Officer Stephanie Barsby Boisvert. “Our goal is to enhance communication within our community, offering a convenient place where residents can stay informed. These signs are strategically placed throughout Stony Plain so that in the event of an emergency where internet and cell service are unavailable, they will become a vital communication tool with access to all residents."

Mayor William Choy expresses his gratitude for the sponsorship and the integral role these boards play in the community. "They serve as a fantastic platform for residents and businesses to promote their own information while also receiving communication from the Town.” Choy goes on to say, “This latest addition, generously sponsored by West Parkland Gas Co-op, exemplifies their continued commitment to improving our community, and we are thankful for their support in bringing this bulletin board to Genesis on the Lakes, a location that did not have a community bulletin board until now. The next time you're out for a stroll, be sure to check out this new sign along with many other new neighborhood bulletin boards! We urge residents and businesses to utilize these boards as a go-to source for community information."

West Parkland Gas Co-op's involvement in this project showcases their dedication to Stony Plain's community betterment.  West Parkland Gas Co-op General Manager Brock Polasek says, “West Parkland Gas Co-op is pleased to sponsor the Genesis on the Lakes Community Bulletin Board. As a locally based cooperative, we place a high importance on community involvement and initiatives. West Parkland Gas Co-op strives to continually evolve the ways in which we support the community we serve, and we are thankful for this opportunity presented by the Town of Stony Plain to do so.”

The other two new community bulletin boards installed recently, are located at Old Town South, near Glenn Hall Centennial Arena and Lake Westerra Estates, along Westerra Drive. These signs along with several others, are looking for sponsorship. Interested in sponsoring a community bulletin board?
