Tri-Community Better Challenge
About the Tri-Community Better Challenge
The Community Better Challenge runs June 1 to June 30 each year. The Tri-Community Better Challenge is about prioritizing physical activity and participation in to help our community stay healthy in mind, body and spirit. The Tri-Region of Parkland County, the City of Spruce Grove and Stony Plain work together with the Tri-Leisure centre and community groups to plan events and encourage an active June. Whether it is walking your dog, gardening, biking, swimming or joining a class, any way you get active counts! Use the ParicipACTION app while you do it and we could be named Canada’s Most Active Community and win $100,000 for a community project.

Or log your activities weekly on the tracking sheet and submit them to the Town Office Attn: Angela -Community and Social Development or to the Tri-Leisure Centre Attn: Samantha by June 30.
How to participate as a sport association, school, fitness organization, or community group:
- Starting on May 18 have your representative register your organization through the ParticipACTION website.
- Create events that will encompass the various activity participation that you will report on. An event can be practices, games, workouts or classes throughout June.
- In June add activity minutes appropriately to each event.
- Input all June activity minutes before June 30.
You can choose the event titles that best suit your association (ex: practices, games, yoga class, etc.). You can also create separate events per age group or class type.
