Freedom of Information
The Town of Stony Plain complies with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) when we collect and share information. Contact the FOIP Coordinator with any questions you may have. You can visit Service Alberta for FOIP Guidelines and Practices.
Under the FOIP Act, any person can:
- Request information that is in the custody and control of the Town of Stony Plain
- Access personal information about themselves held by the Town of Stony Plain
- Request correction of their personal information
Make a request
You must complete a FOIP Request Form, and you can:
- Return it to us by mail
- Email us
- Fax it to us at 780-963-2197
- There is a $25 fee for general information. You can also pick up a form at Town Hall during regular business hours.
Our response
We will respond to you within 30 calendar days of receiving your request. Our response will either:
- Provide the information
- Say why the information is not shared
- In the case of a request for correction of personal information, the response will state that the correction is completed, or advise that a note is on file.
