Midsummer Thursdays | ||||
Midsummer Thursdays is an annual event held every third Thursday in June, July, and August. Watch downtown Stony Plain come alive with local shops, tasty restaurants and food trucks, captivating entertainment, and an array of vendor booths.
Businesses and community organizations can reserve a booth on Main Street to promote themselves, sell products, interact with attendees, give samples, offer entertainment, and encourage people to connect with them.

Summer Sessions | ||
Summer Sessions has been the musical heartbeat of Stony Plain since 2014 drawing audiences from the Edmonton Metropolitan Region and beyond. This free music concert series blends the talents of award-winning and emerging artists, creating an unparalleled experience for music enthusiasts.
Last year, we struck a chord and shattered attendance records. The success of Summer Sessions is only possible with the support of sponsors whose contributions keep the event accessible to all and provides fair compensation to the artists. The much-anticipated Destination Guide is available annually, offering an abundance of information for both residents and visitors alike. Whether people are seeking local tourism hotspots, family-friendly activities, cultural experiences, or outdoor adventures, this guide is a go-to resource. |
Christmas Ornaments |
For the past decade, the Town Christmas Ornament has been a collaboration between the Town of Stony Plain and a talented local artist or organization. The Town purchases 250 ornaments to be handed out to local residents free of charge, beginning in November. Shop the Season |
Shop the Season is an annual campaign highlighting local businesses and unique products within the community. For Stony Plain shoppers, the guide features products that make for ideal holiday gifts available in local shops, as well as a chance to win an assortment of local products and gift certificates. |
Art in Public Places |
The Town of Stony Plain is known for it's magnificent outdoor paintings, with over 40 murals located throughout downtown and surrounding areas. The artworks have been created by 23 different artists from across Canada. Many other works of Art in Public Places can be seen throughout the community, recognizing Stony Plain's unique heritage. |
Tourism Ambassador Program |
The Tourism Ambassador Program is an opportunity for local business owners and their employees to act as volunteer ambassadors. Ambassadors will be equipped to respond to visitor inquiries and share what our community has to offer based on the visitor's interests. Stony Plain is known as a destination shopping town with many unique shops and restaurants, having Tourism Ambassadors in our local businesses will help improve visitors' overall quality of experience, lengthen stays, encourage return visits to Stony Plain. |

Sign Up Alberta's Tourist Oriented Directional Signs (TODS) use simple symbols to indicate various types of tourist attractions, from campsites to museums. These signs are great for for attractions located at a rural address or within communities with a population base of 25,000 and under. They make it easier than ever before for motorists to locate popular attractions and facilities. If tourism is one of your core business activities, you may be eligible for the Sign Up Alberta TODS program. |

Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce |
The Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce joins the Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Wabamun business communities and Chambers' together, into one.
The Chamber encourages positive growth in the region and elevates local businesses through professional development, community engagement, promotion, and membership benefits. The Visitor Information Centre (VIC), located in Stony Plain Rotary Park, serves Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and Parkland County. This year-round facility carries the latest information brochures from across the country, and manages the digital sign within Rotary Park. |
