The Town of Stony Plain and the Fire Department specifically have received a number of offers of support for our neighbouring communities during the wildfire crisis. We appreciate the offer to help, however, in emergencies of this magnitude it is important that we clearly understand the needs required and allow the formalized channels to react to those needs.

Stony Plain approved thirty-four (34) permits for commercial improvements in the first quarter of 2023, up over 275% from the first quarter of 2022 and 750% from 2021. The permits demonstrate a positive increase in commercial activity in Stony Plain as the industry rebounds following the pandemic.
The following development permit application has been considered by the Development Authority and given conditional approval subject to appeal. The appeal deadline date for these permits is Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
