Experience spooky, Halloween family fun at the Graveyard Groove and the Halloween House Hunt. Wear your costumes and be ready for ghostly fun! There is so much to see and do! 

Graveyard Groove

Join the Town of Stony Plain in friendship with the Parkland Food Bank for loads of fun!

Entry is free! Guests are asked to bring a cash donation and/or a non-perishable food donation for the Parkland Food Bank.

Activities include:

  • The Graveyard Groove Haunted House (don't worry...there's a spooky side and an even more spine chilling side!) Enter if you dare to a maze of scare!

Trunk or Treat 

We are excited to invite local businesses, non profits, community groups, farmers etc., to join us for a fun and safe trunk and treat.

This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community, connect with local residents, and showcase your organization in a creative and festive way. Participants will decorate their vehicles and hand out candy, promotional items or kid-friendly goodies in a Halloween themed setting. Entries are limited, and all guidelines are listed in the application.

Trunk or Treat runs from 11 AM to 4 PM in the Heritage Park parking lot on Oct 24th, 2026. Wear your costume!

Halloween Haunted House Hunt

Join the hunt and search for one of five haunted houses to win an extra spooky prize! Five miniature haunted houses will be hidden throughout public spaces in Stony Plain beginning October 19.  Daily clues will be posted on this page each morning at 9 AM until all houses are found. Once found, their location will be announced.

Rules

  1. One clue will be posted daily until the house is found. Posted at 9 am and, if needed,1 pm.
  2. There will be a total of three clues for each house.
  3. The contest finishes when all five haunted houses are found and returned to Stony Plain Town Office (4905 51 Avenue).
  4. Each Haunted House is hidden in a public outdoor location within Stony Plain. It is not necessary to enter or cross any private property to get to any hiding spot.
  5. There is no cost or fee to participate - everyone is welcome!
  6. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 when picking up prizes.
  7. You may only win once.
